The Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) announced the list of recipients of the 2024 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award on February 20th, 2025. It was decided to confer 53 achievements with the 2024 "Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award".
Prof. Qin, the Principal Investigator of miX-Lab, won the Second Prize of the 2024 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Technology Invention Award for the project "Deep Learning Technologies and Applications for Tumor Radiotherapy". This research achievement mainly focuses on the key artificial intelligence technologies for tumor radiotherapy. Centering around three major aspects, namely the automatic contouring of tumor target areas, the calculation of radiotherapy dose for target areas, and the real-time positioning and tracking of tumors, it has made important scientific and industrial contributions in the calculation, modeling, and analysis of tumor radiotherapy images. It plays a leading and promoting role in the research of artificial intelligence technologies in the fields of radiotherapy and medical imaging.
The Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, known as the "Highest Award in China's Intelligent Technology", is eligible for nominating and recommending candidates for the National Science and Technology Award, and represents the highest honor symbol in the field of artificial intelligence. Established in 2011, this award is named after Mr. Wu Wenjun, a People's Scientist, a pioneer in artificial intelligence, and the former Honorary President of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence.
